Python Job: Software Developer

Looking for Python/Django Developer

• Full Stack Development (MUST have 5+ years of experience)
• Adding to the back end which is mainly built using Python and the Django framework
• Creating new REST API endpoints and optimizing existing ones for better performance and simplicity
• Using React and Redux to create web applications
• Using Figma / Invision layouts and implementing them
• Using and modifying existing templates to deploy apps to the server
• Product Innovation
• Working in a tight feedback loop with the customer success team and directly with customers to make sure we’re solving the right problems and innovating
• Exploring new technologies and frameworks to implement
• Running product and architecture experiments, assessing success with product analytic data, and deployment.
• Communicating regularly with technical and strategic partners

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of software development work experience
• Proficient in a backend development framework (Python/Django), DRF (Django Rest Framework)
• Proficient in Swagger, OpenAPI 3, Docker, Dokku, React
• Proficient in Web Scraping / Data Migration
• Proficient in a frontend development framework (JavaScript - Typescript, VueJs, Vuetify, NuxtJs)
• Proficient with REST API design, development, and third-party integrations
• Experience working with databases - directly and using ORMs
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL
• Experience writing clean and maintainable code
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills (critical requirement as documentation is a large part of this role)
• Can work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, often independently with tight deadlines
• Experience with cloud computing AWS, Azure

Nice to Haves:

• Previous experience leading development teams or working at mid companies
• Previous experience in insurance company systems

• Experience in PHP/Laravel

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

Salary: From $30.00 per hour
